| Colva Beach in South Goa constitutes the longest
unbroken stretch of white sand in the state. Strolling north of the Colva road-end, you pass Betalbatim, and
between here and Majorda the beach is backed with stands of trees and far lower people than
popular honeypots like Palolem and quiet Morjim. Some
restauarants and souvenir stalls gather around a parking lot. Further
north and south are a number of shacks on the beach serving fresh
seafood and snakcs.
Fair swimming on quiet days,
and some body surfing on windier days.
Airport - Dabolim, (29 km). The nearest railway
station is Karmali, 11 km away. Panaji is 40 km away from Colva. There are many hotels
offering accommodation at budget rates.
